Niki's has been a tried and true Italian fave for years in the mid cities area. The decor is old school Italian and the walls are covered in family portraits from the owners, which are usually always there. The garlic knots are delicious and always so soft and fresh. Their house salad dressing is great, its like a cross between a vinaigrette and a marinara sauce. It is interesting to say the least, and I'm pretty sure they sell it bottled. Some items to try: lobster ravioli, Niki's fettucini with ham, mushrooms, and broccoli, baked ziti, manicotti and the white pizza with chicken and spinach. Whatever you try, I am fairly certain it will not disappoint. This strip center Italian Bistro is the real deal. Oh and an added bonus of you live close by, they deliver!!!

We've been eating at Niki's for over 12 years and they are the most consistent in quality and taste and have maintained value in regards to portions for the cost- which can't be said for almost all of their competitors.

We go here every now and then, and it is always great! Everyone is friendly, the food is fantastic, and pricing is awesome! I would definitely recommend Niki's!

This place is awesome. The food is wonderful and the staff is warm and friendly. The decor is sort of "old Italian villa" with the straw wrapped chianti bottles and murals of Venice and so on. The best item on the menu is their chicken aristocrat. The pink sauce (lobster sauce?) they use on this is absolutely divine. I always end up mopping the plate with the bread to get the last of this sauce. If you are there on a night when the orange roughy with cream sauce is on special, this is the exact same dish, substituting the fish for chicken. I like this even better. I fully agree with another reviewer that their delivery orders are always delivered quickly and fresh and hot.

Excellent food, fast friendly service, the owner is almost always there to visit with you. They make you feel like family and in fact its a great place to bring your family; Nikis wont break the bank. One of our favorite places. RobW

Best inexpensive Italian food I've ever had. The menu is extensive and I've never had a bad dish. Try the Portobello Ravioli or the Lobster Ravioli... or a non-Ravioli. It's all good.

This is by far the best Italian food around. Very authentic and surprisingly affordable. They deliver any menu item which comes in handy when you don't want to cook but you're sick of pizza and Chinese. Food is awesome and so is the service. All out friends that we took there are also now hooked. This place is a keeper.

Very pleasant little gem here. :) found via yelp one late night when the boy and I were starving and I really wanted pasta. They were open until 11p. Perfect! Let's try it! The boy was very very happy with the pizza he ordered. He ate the whole thing in one night. I got the spaghetti special and I was blown away at the flavors. So good. I ate the whole dang plate. I went home and had a nice carb coma. Lol We liked it so much, we went back again 2 nights later. :) same excellent food. The staff there was very attentive and nice. Very on top of everything and very friendly. Can't wait to go again!

Have been hearing good things about this restaurant and since moving here, from Houston, it's been difficult locating an outstanding, authentic Italian restaurant to frequent, here in Fort Worth. There seem to be more Italians in Houston than in the DFW area. The table we were seated at was like a bucking bronco but, after some engineering, my son fixed it with sugar packets. The food was good and the presentation was good. Service was pleasant and quick, but then we were 1 of 2 tables left after the lunch rush. Would like to go back when the place is much busier to get a better idea on things.

Ew. Ordered chicken Alfredo. Chicken tastes strange, not fresh. Over cooked pasta with a cream sauce that tastes like straight cream, no cheese or seasoning. Ordered a Caesar, came with half a cup of water (check the picture). $17.95 later, dissapointed and hungry! Wish I could give this back to them.

Was craving good Alfredo and they sure didn't upset. Nice and saucy and not at all stingy on the portions Lunch came with a salad, fresh and delicious dressing. The bread came to our table the moment we sat down. Food came out quickly, hour lunch was perfect here.

There are some nice touches in this restaurant: Warm interior design with walls covered alternately in classy stonework and oak panels; a live piano player playing soft music and singing easy, low-intensity tunes; lots of tables that can be configured to accommodate groups of nearly any size; and prompt service. As for the food, it is delicious. It is hard to go wrong preparing Italian food, and for the most part Niki's Bistro hits the mark. They also have a nice selection of domestic and imported beers on draft, along with a good selection of bottled beers. Wine, of course, is available, too. This is a nice neighborhood place to take a date, the family, or the folks in the office.

A waiter was walking in at the same time we were. He took a quarter out of his pocket and helped my toddler get a bouncy ball out of the vending machines in the lobby. That was so sweet. I wanted him to be our waiter. But we got a very sweet (though not always around) older lady. Entrees on the kids menu don't come with anything else, even a drink. Milk isn't on the menu, but she told me she could get me some. Bottomless adult-sized drinks are $2; I was charged $2.50 for a kids milk, which should have been included in the first place. Not sure if the goal is to deter people from bringing kids, but I won't bring my son back. My ravioli dish was good, my son's ziti was alright. The garlic rolls had a flavor, but were a little tough and chewy. I'm torn on this place, but since there are other places in the area that I like better, I probably won't be back any time soon.

The absolute best pizza hands down! Also there Alfredo sauce is amazing! The place is so nice and the staff is very professional and friendly! If you like authentic pizza this is it!

Love this place! The food is yummy, and so reasonably priced! They have someone playing the piano most nights. The past two times we have been an older gentleman played the piano and sang. He is very entertaining. The service is excellent, and they are so friendly. We will be visiting this place often.

On Fathers day we waited over an hour to be served. Food was so, so, Everybody that was there waited too long to get their dinner and all were upset at the service. We were told a half dozen stories as to why our food took so long. After an hour we started to walk out when we were told our food was on the way. If you have a long time to wait for average tasting food, this is your place. Not for me or my family ever again!

Great meal. Their lunch specials are great. A huge salad with a huge plate of food only a crazy person could polish off in one sitting. Our waiter Cathy was excellent. Very very attentive and nice. The food was great. I had a Caesar salad and the cannoli and it was delicious & only $6. Well seasoned. The draft beer is way cheaper than I expected. Wish they had lunch specials on their pizza. It's awesome as well. Will be back.

Haven't been here in several years. Love their new location. It is huge! Fireplace is a really nice touch on the few days one can use it. I remembered this restaurant being way better than it was on this visit. We were there early Sunday evening so the service was great since hardly anyone was there. I ordered chicken Marsalas and would rate it only fair. It was super salty and the sauce tasted like chicken bouillon. I don't think the chicken was real chicken breast. More of a McDonald's type. My husband ordered chicken Florentine and he really like his. Again, when I tasted it, it seemed chicken brothy and the sauce was thickened with corn starch which gave it a gelatinous appearance. The bread was good but very crusty. I also do NOT like restaurants that charge extra if you share a meal and this one has an additional charge for sharing. I can understand the extra charge if they give you extra food, but not just for an additional plate! I highly suggest driving to 820 & John T. White and go to Italy Pasta & Pizza. MUCH better tasting food for the same price or maybe a little less.

We were sat and about 15 minutes passed and we left. Many waiters walked by looked at us but did not acknowledge us. We should not have had to wait that long without service. We did have our church volunteer shirts on. Maybe there was a bias.

Tonight's service was just ridiculous all around. Ordered drinks, then the waitress forgot about us for 20 minutes. Daughter ordered kits ravioli with Alfredo sauce. The ravioli came out burned and with no sauce. Second order was obviously rushed and undercooked while downing in sauce. Manager offered us a free dessert. The owner cane by and asked how everything was, then grabbed daughters dish and walked off. No apologies, no explanation. We have been here several times. Normally the service is spot on. Tonight was just beyond ridiculous and with the owners attitude, not sure we will return

Great food. Family owned business. Great bar atmosphere for the evenings too. The nikkis special pizza is the BEST!!!!!

This is what the chain restaurants cannot offer. Great food at a good price served by people who want your dinner done right. Chicken Parmigiana, Arrabiata, and a Chalk Board Feature of Linguine with an asiago cream sauce. Service was polite and attentive. Portions were generous and prices very low. Support your local independent everything.

My extended family and I had been patrons for years. We ate at their establishment numerous times and elected to celebrate special occasions there. Seems like things have gone downhill since they moved to their larger building. Tonight was another special occasion - one of which was not only a birthday celebration but also the first time in several years that our family of 15 was together. The food was good however the customer service was the worst that we have ever experienced at any type of establishment. As we informed the owner, we are business owners and believe in customer service, however the owner (Mike) and his wife (name unknown) clearly do not believe in customer service. They disregard special requests, and concerns expressed by patrons. Why even bother asking how everything was if you are not open to listening to concerns expressed by your patrons? Instead - Mike became irate, and argued with us (my husband and I) in lieu of listening to our concerns and trying to resolve the issue in a cordial manner. Instead Mike and his wife insisted on passing blame on us (their patrons). Additional CONS; This establishment does not have smaller portion meals for senior citizens, and will not allow an adult to order a small portion off of the children's menu (every establishment I have been to , allows this), instead they charge for an additional plate (i.e. plate charge). Additionally - at the time the reservations were made (the day before ) Mike asked if there were any special requests - I specifically requested "not" to be seated by the piano player as there were going to be senior citizens in our group (they have sensitive ears). Additionally, there was only one server for a party of 15 - unbelievable! Our server worked very hard to take care of our large group. When I asked the owner's wife for an additional server, she really did not seem too concerned, however at the conclusion of our conversation I gathered that she was indeed going to get the server additional help - that did not happen! My family and I will NEVER return to this establishment again. Look at some of the other reviews for this specific location and you will see that there were some other complaints about rudeness, etc. (see yelp, google, trip advisor, etc) p.s. Mike - if you have not already done so, take a look at some of the comments pertaining to your poor customer service and your rudeness (yelp, google, trip advisor).

Only reason it's not a 5 star is because it's not as awesome as the old location across the street. I don't think they have transitioned well to the new location. I'm sure it wasn't easy to quadruple your staff and kitchen, but the customer shouldn't suffer because of that. You can easily tell which staff members are from the old location because they're as good as ever, while the new people aren't quite up to speed yet. Pizza is excellent. Rolls fantastic. Lasagna is great as well. I'm very surprised to see all of the 1 stars for delivery orders and take out. My family has been ordering lasagna for large groups for over ten years and we've never had a problem. I hope the recent comments are viewed by management however and fixed, because it would be a shame for them to lose so many customers as a results of the expansion.

Love this place, my husband grew up in the block behind it so he knows the owners. He and his family have been going there since he was in a carrier. He's 26 now, so I'm sure that goes to show how good they are. Plus they used to be in the little strip mall across the street but would be so busy they decided to build a bigger place across the street where they are now. The owners are the original ones who first opened it and all recipes are from Italy. Big portions at decent price. This is our usual date night spot.

I had the eggplant rollatini and I was surprised at the taste, texture and portion size. The price can't be beat. The house salad isn't the best but at least it was on a chilled plate. The garlic knots are chewy but soft in the middle. My husband had chicken Florentine but I thought that it shouldn't have had red sauce on the spaghetti but rather put the beautiful Florentine sauce over the spaghetti. We will definitely go back and try some different things on the menu.

New upscale location, terrible service. I frequently had to track waiter down for tea, check and payment. I flagged an owner to get check and then they walked off. Waiter brings check finally and doesn't wait even though I had my credit card on the table. He never looked my way the next 6 times he was on floor and I waved at him in small room. I finally flagged another waiter who promptly took care of me. Won't be coming for a while.

Favorite Italian mom and pop restaurant in the DFW area. Quality portions, delectable food, and great customer service. I recommend the house Italian for salad dressing and to dip the bread. The chicken Parmigiana, lasagna, pizza, and hot subs are excellent.

The food I could have made at home and the service was pretty lame. I wouldn't come back based on the service alone.

Very solid performer. A tad run down inside, but that's all about to change *(although the schedule for the new location, directly across the street, seems to be very behind). The food here is good. As good as our regular Niki's location further up Rufe Snow (in Keller). Solid performers are the pizza, calzones and of course the calamari. PS. The new location is going to be large. I was told it will seat 400. It will also feature and open-air patio and a bona-fide bar. I'm looking forward to the grand opening.

Went to Nikki's for lunch last week. The price was good. I had the eggplant parmesan. My food has hair in it but it was very hot. They were kind enough to replace it with a different plate but the food itself was not that good. The eggplant itself was really soggy and the sauce had no flavor. I did not recieve any discounts or apology for the hair in my food. Won't be going back anytime soon.

Chicken Asiago reminded me of a Lean Cuisine chicken and spinach frozen dinner. The meal had no flavor and the only enjoyable aspect of this fail of an Italian restaurant was the decent atmosphere and dinner rolls. Additionally, don't expect to have a tossed salad complimentary with dinner as everything is separate. If you typically share a plate, there is a $2 fee for them to bring you an extra plate. You will not find acceptable wait staff as they seem too annoyed to be there/wait their prospective tables. There are much better and better priced Italian restaurants in the area to not waste your time on this disappointment.

After ordering delivery for 2+ people from them 1-2 times a week for a couple months, and always loving their food, awhile ago I decided to never do so again. Reason: the last time I called in an order, I overhead the guy griping to someone that I "live way too far away" and "order too often". If they'd said something from the start I would have happily said no problem and called elsewhere. But they'd originally said they had a 5 mile radius and I was only 3.5 miles if they took the route I'd suggested numerous times. Otherwise, it was 4.5 -- still under the radius. Either way, a simple "no" from the start would have been perfectly alright. It's not a problem now though either, I've just given my regular business and 25% delivery tips to someone else. :) I'm giving two stars instead of one because their food IS delicious, so I have to assume that if you eat in you'll get better service than what you get with delivery.

Easily the BEST Italian food I've had in Texas. Some of the dishes are a little pricier than other places ($15-20) but it's worth it. The bread isn't hard, the cannoli filling is amazing (I only eat the filling) and there's a large variety. Our server was new, but very nice. The new location is very comfortable. They are open later than most Italian places in the area, which is also nice. Order the chicken tetrazinni, but ask for them to add fresh basil on top. It's perfect that way!

  • Jackie B.

I really like the new place - it's beautiful and well-appointed. I had lunch with a friend here. Lunch specials are very reasonably priced, and with a salad, is ample food for lunch. I had the lunch lasagna. The salad came with a house tomato vinaigrette that is really, really delicious. The food was hot (bubbly-cheese hot), and was so very delicious. Overall, for lunch in NRH, you can't do any better than Niki's, especially at the price.

We have recently moved to this area, and Niki's was recommended by some local family. This place is delicious! I crave the Chicken Aristocrat all of the time. The food is well priced, and the best part is that they deliver! My husband loves the lobster ravioli, and their stuffed mushrooms are one of the best tasting dishes I have ever eaten in my life. I didn't care as much for their pizza. We have had a few problems with ordering delivery, but the food tastes so good, it is worth any hassle.

Good appetizers!! Try the combo with the fried calamari the stuffed mushrooms and shrimps. The pizza is not very good though the crust have nothing to do with the new York pizza style. Very good price anyway great for groups in

This place was incredible! The food was spectacular and way underpriced for the amount & quality. First, they brought us our drinks. They brought us garlic knots which I thought were incredible... my husband said they weren't greasy enough to beat the New York Italian he loves, but I thought they were great. The low-priced lunch specials came with salads that were equally tasty. My husband wasn't overly impressed by the ranch, which we were pretty sure was out of a bottle, but the house dressing was killer! I raved about it till they got us our food. My husband had talked me into the cheese ravioli because I informed him I'd probably steal some of his chicken francese. I'm glad he did! It was far from the chef boyardee I was expecting! It was rich & flavorful, and the cheese melted on top was gloriously thick. The chicken francese was buttery and garlicky, tender and wonderful. It was a party in my mouth! We swapped plated halfway through our meal because they were both fantastic, and still each took home a decent amount of leftovers. All in all, I had an awesome experience. The only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because my husband thought the service could have been better. It could have, but we watched a group of 50 elementary school teachers leave near the end of our meal, and I'm pretty sure that was why.

A group of us enjoyed an early meal here one Saturday evening prior to a later engagement. Service was friendly and good, food was quite good, we were able to sit at a round table which is nice. The restaurant quickly filled so it is obviously popular with the locals. They have a bar, so there is no BYOB opportunity that is common with so many of our local Italian eateries. One added bonus was the guitarist who began to play just as we had to leave. We would have enjoyed hearing more of his playing - very pleasant and wonderful background music. The bread was a bit dried out and hard. My lasagne was OK - not the best I've ever had, but certainly good. I would try something else next time, and yes, I would go back if I find myself nearby. Niki's is a very nice neighborhood Italian restaurant for when you get the call that something Italian is the only food that will satisfy your tastebuds.

They screwed up two orders in a row and when they finally did get it right an hour and a half later.....my wife ended up throwing it all up. I'm convinced they f'ed with the order just because they messed it up and were mad that we complained. Skip it. Period. Don't ever eat hear or order anything from them. I certainly never will again.

I was excited to find a family owned Italian restaurant near where I live. I ordered take out, it took longer than quoted but it was worth it! I got the eggplant rollatini and calzone which were both amazing. I also ordered a Caesar salad but it had a large piece of brown lettuce but otherwise tasted great, just wish the dressing was on the side so it wouldn't get soggy. The rolls were delicious as well! I'll be back.

We decided to give this place a try. The Nikki's on Rufe Snow is one of my wife's favorites and we wanted to see how the new place looked. I hate to say it but disappointment is an understatement. We came in on a Monday evening and they seemed a bit busy but nothing major, we saw one dining room with a large party seated at one table but the rest were empty. After waiting several minutes for a hostess to notice us we were told it would be a longer wait until we got a table. The wait was shorter than expected at least. Walking into the main room was nice. They have really redone the place from the tired old diner it used to be. The room was full and buzzing with conversation. We were seated at a table right next to the busser's station. Not great, but that happens. The waitress was prompt and cordial and we placed our orders. Salads came out, nothing really exciting, plain lettuce, tomato and cucumber but the house dressing is very good. Eventually garlic rolls came out. They are also good and serviceable. My wife ordered bake ziti with meatballs and I ordered the linguine puttanesca. When the main courses arrived, after not too long a wait, especially considering as busy as the dining room was, I was a bit concerned. Her ziti didn't look baked to me. It looked like ziti with sauce and three small meatballs just placed on top. It wasn't mixed in and there wasn't cheese baked in. Just pasta with a sauce. NOT baked ziti. Then I tried mine. Now, I know puttanesca. I've made gallons of the stuff. I can cook it from scratch. This was in no way, shape or form pasta puttanesca. It was a thick red sauce with canned olives and large chunks of partially cooked garlic. Okay, if you don't know what it is, puttanesca sauce is made by heating mashed anchovies (sometimes), minced garlic and pepper flakes in olive oil. Once that kind of cooks and melts into the oil; chopped tomatoes, olives, capers and oregano are added. Sometimes a splash of white wine or artichoke hearts are added. But it is a salty, spicy, sour and rich sauce served traditionally with spaghetti. This was sweet. And totally wrong. My guess is they partially sauteed large slices of garlic in olive oil then tossed in their house (overly sweet) sauce and then added canned olives. I ate three bites and stopped. I had a very similar situation once when I ordered penne with vodka sauce and what came out was nothing like a vodka sauce. To make matters worse the waitress disappeared. It was obvious we were both unhappy with our meal, two large plates of pasta sitting untouched and drink glasses empty. The staff, including a couple who appeared to be management staff, mostly avoided eye contact with us. Nobody asked about our meals or anything. Eventually I went to the cash register to see if we could even get our check. A young lady was very quick on the ball to ask who our waitress was and get us a ticket. She tried to offer us some dessert or any way to make it up to us. But we just wanted out. Again, no manager came to see what the problem was or even apologize. I paid my bill and did something I NEVER do. I have worked in restaurants and was raised by a mother who fed us on the tips she got as a waitress. I paid my bill and left no tip. The management and cashier didn't seem to even care that we were unhappy. I guess they have enough business from people who have no idea what Italian or even Italian-American food is that they don't seem to mind unhappy customers. If you read any of my other reviews you see I'm not a habitual complainer. I try to be pretty open handed and honest with my critiques. This isn't someone in a snit over tablecloths. I'm disappointed in the whole disconnect from management customer happiness and refusing to make even the most basic efforts to present the actual dishes they state they serve. I give it two stars because the place is clean and one waitress there actually seemed to care. Some parts of the meal weren't bad and the pizzas looked good. But we will never go back.

As many of the reviewers have written before me, "amazing and cheap!" The menu prices are incredible and most of the entrees include salad and, of course, their yummy garlic "dough-knots". Both of out entrees were prepared perfectly. I had the cheese ravioli and my wife had her favorite, chicken parmigiana. She said hers was delicious. My wife mentioned as we left, "Why have you waited so long to bring me her?" I'll definitely not wait long to return. One note, they are getting ready to move to a new building, right across the street from where they are now. The staff is very excited to get a new building and equipment.

Got children Alfredo. Went on a Saturday evening. No waiting, nice and classy. There's a pianist who walks around and asks for any requests. She was a sweetheart! She was trying to play the song Piano-man for us and was really trying to get it down . Food was freakin delish . Beats Olive Garden by far! Menu also has lots of great dishes to choose from. Waiter was nice.

Niki's has been a go to Italian place for my family for years. I don't know if it's because of their move, but the quality of food has gone down. The last 2 times I ordered delivery, my food hasn't been near as good as in the past and I also felt sick to my stomach for hours after eating. It's been several months since I've ordered Dom there and thought I would try again tonight but when I called to order 3 separate times, their line just rang and rang with no answer. So tonight I ordered from Dino's pizza instead. They may have just finally lost my business. Sad.

Family and I just are there for Sunday lunch. It was busy and we waited about 8 min to be seated for 3 people. The staff was very friendly, the waiter took our drink and food order right away and even advised us on how to order in a less expensive way. We ordered a large cheese pizza and a spaghetti and meatball lunch special that came with a side salad. We were first served bread, pretty good : warm, a little garlic and butter on outside crust, soft and crunchy. The salad: here's where they get dinged. It was lame. It was only iceberg lettuce (my least fav kind) with house dressing. The dressing was good a tiny bit spicy but good. The pizza: delicious (5 stars) it was thin and firm and sauce was flavorful and cheese melted perfect and juicy Spaghetti was also very good, sauce again flavorful meaty and savory and meatballs were tender juicy and savory

I have been coming here since I was a girl, back when they opened in the 90's. I would stop by when passing through the area once a year or so. I have been embarrassed twice this year when taking guests to the new location. The food was terrible. Salty and might as well have been microwave dinners. The roles were overly browned and too hard to chew. Also, the piano and singing is rude and obtrusive. I am sad to say that I won't be back.

My family has been eating at Nikki's for many years and they have remained amazing thru the years. The pink sauce is the best I've ever had and I order it on almost every dish. We love the lasagna and chicken parm. My husband's absolute favorite is the lobster ravioli and my daughter always gets the baked ziti...of course with pink sauce. We always have happy quick service and really enjoy the live piano music on the weekends. We love this restaurant and we love the owners and staff.

Nikki's is moving - to right across Davis Blvd., sometime in early 2013. The service is always pretty good and the portions are always super huge. I like their fettuccine in 'pink sauce' or tomato basil sauce. Hubs likes the veal or chicken Parmesan. Their house dressing, a smokey tomato vinegarette, is to die for.

Niki's Italian Bistro is a great little family owned Italian restaurant. We had dinner there tonight and were thoroughly impressed with all our entrees. There were 5 kids and 4 adults and pretty much everyone seemed to really enjoy their meal. The prices are decent and they even deliver if you prefer to order from home (I have ordered from work a few times and it is just as warm and delicious). The garlic knots are super soft and delicious and come served with little pats of butter. Two of us had a side salad with our meal and the salads were decent size and the lettuce was ice cold which is nice since that's the way a salad should be. The dressings are delicious, especially their homemade Italian. The pastas were all hot and bubbly when they came out and full of flavorful sauces and cheese. We tried their "white pizza" with chicken and spinach and it too was a hit! One of the things that makes my meal a bust is if my drink glass gets empty and I am left with a dry mouth! However, our drinks NEVER were more than halfway gone before they were refilling them again and I love that!! Makes it a winner for me! The new location, according to the owner, is set to open in a few weeks. She said the inspection is completed and they are planning on closing for a few days at the beginning of July to get the pizza oven moved. Can't wait to try the new location since it is supposed to seat a larger crowd and have an awesome patio. Will definitely be returning for my next fix of Italian food!

Girlfriend and I had dinner there Saturday evening around 6:30PM. Sat for 10 minutes before our waiter came to the table. No biggie. Ordered an appetizer, couple of salads, two entrees and a bottle of wine. Waiter returns with an open bottle of wine, no bottle presentation, far as I know the bottle could have been opened and served to bar patrons. Waiter came back with the salads around 10 minutes later. Was expecting the appetizer first but, no biggie. Next 15 minutes no appetizer and no waiter. Entrees arrive with the appetizer all at once. Send the appetizer back since it was now an entrée and we didn't need three entree's. Ordered the Fruit di Mare, the dish looked like it had been left over from the night before. The sauce looked and tasted of old crusty ketchup. The seafood was shriveled and rubbery. Needless to say I did not eat my meal. My girlfriend ordered the chicken parmesan. Same thing with sauce, and I do not exaggerate, the chicken was a frozen chicken cutlet that you would get from a TV dinner. She had two bites and she was done. We occasionally eat at the Keller location and love it. We have never had a bad meal at that location. Do yourself a favor and eat at Keller and stay away from this location. They evidently are having problems with good staffing and food preparation. This was easily the worse meal I have ever had in the DFW area. A person who appeared to be a young GM asked me on the way out of the restaurant how was everything. I told him it was the worse dining experience we had ever had. He didn't say one word so we walked away. I think I just located the problem.

Very good pizza. Very good price. Always manage to get a large pizza and a soda for no more than $14 bucks. Downside to Nikki's is sometimes service gets bogged down and nearly all the waiters are foreign and speak little to no English, so communication is difficult at times. Overall love the food, love the prices and the new remodel!

Came here for lunch over the weekend. Good prices is the only redeemable quality of this place. My husband got a salad and asked for the dressing on the side but it came out totally drenched in ranch. It was like salad soup. We told our sever that we asked for it on the side but no apology was offered. The sever just looked irritated. I ordered the chicken piccata. It was awful. I mean just horrible :( too many capers, and I'm fairly certain that they were not washed which made the whole dish just reek of vinegar. Not once did our server come back to check in on us so I just ate my nasty dish, paid, and never looked back

Confused. Super nice decor in the new location. Great space, good service but the bar area was so non Italian. I felt like walking into Carabas, then magically into the flame, or vinos or some other lame dive. Food was nothing special. The chicken gnocchi is more expensive than the lobster ravioli. How that happens is slightly confusing, maybe because they're using pre made, frozen raviolis with imitation lobster meat, but eh, that's just a guess. Also, that lobster ravioli is served over a bed of spaghetti. Wth??? It's like telling your customers, "hey, I'm going to rip you off by charging $14 for 4 frozen imitation lobster ravioli, topped over spaghetti which you didn't order, and hope that the 2 lbs of pasta on the plate will fill you up and hopefully you'll forget all about the lobster anyways... Have a nice day." Sorry friends, the only thing on the menu worth eating last night was the rolls. They were excellent.

Nikis Italian Bistro in North Richland Hills, TX did an awesome job remodeling their new location. Very spacious and great bar.

Yummy! Better than OG! Have been getting pizza on take out for the past 3 years since we moved to NRH. Just recently started eating in the restaurant as I'm tired of the pre-made feel of OG. Have tried Loy's of dishes, but my very favorite is the eggplant parm. OMG! Delicious! My boys like the calzones, chicken parm, Nikki's pasta ( a fettuccine dish with a creamy garlic sauce with ham & mushrooms). Hubby likes the manicotti, lasagne, etc... The garlic twist bread is awesome! Way better than OG's breadsticks. Atmosphere is quaint. They are moving directly across the street at the end of May. And did I mention that their pizza is beyond awesome?? =D

I have been back a couple of times since my last review and I actually tried something other than the Lobster Ravioli! I had a calzone and WOW...excellent. A few of my co-workers frequent there as well and have told me the Lasagna is great.

Fantastic restaurant at very reasonable prices. My family has been eating here for maybe 15 years now, and you'd be hard pressed to find better italian food in the metroplex without spending double to triple the price. One thing that sets Nikki's apart for me is the consistency. I've had great italian at other places, but was disappointed on other visits. I've never been let down with Nikki's food. Also, the owner and his family are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. We've been in enough that they recognize us when we walk in, and they'll usually stop by the table to chat for a minute as well. Their new location across the street is almost finished, and it is going to be phenomenal!! There is going to be a large front room with a fireplace, a bigger bar with TV's, and a back patio with heaters. Can't wait for it to open!

Six of our group went there tonight. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer and then ordered Caesar salads. These were good. I ordered chicken cordan bleu. I was told that was what was put in front of me. No, it wasI veal parmigiana but I decided to eat it. I took a bite and it was so tough I could not cut it with a knife so I called the waitress over and told her this was NOT what I ordered. No apology was given. I then ordered chicken piccata. It had no taste whatsoever! No spices, just 2 very bland pieces of chicken. Everyone at our table ordered something different. Some ate a little more than others. I had 2 bites. No one finished their entrees. When six people are sitting there with 3/4 of the food left on their plates, you would think that would be a big clue to the waitress that the food was very bad. However, nothing was said. Our group as a whole decided the food was absolutely terrible. No one wanted a box and lots of food was left over. We paid the bill and left. We will NOT be back!

Terrible customer service!! After 15 min, had to flag down the hostess to get our drinks. Waiter came by the table to give us an excuse as to why he has not waited on us yet. He took the menus but not our order. After he finally took our order, it took 35 min for the food to come out and he brought the wrong order. We got up and left at this point. The manager was gratuitous to comp my tea and my girlfriends' soda. Very nice restaraunt! But too bad the service sucks!! A nice new building doesn't make up for poor service. Will not go back!!

Adam C's review is spot on. My wife and I have been coming to Nikis for more then a decade but were disappointed with the service on our first visit to the new location. The waitress seemed to be angry she had to wait on us. We were very polite and by the end her attitude seemed to ease up but we never had this type issue with the old staff. Still great food and we love the new patio. We'll be back and hopefully can change the rating to 5 stars.

I've had Niki's quite a bit. Most of the time I've placed an order when others at work have since they do deliver....and I've eaten there in person twice. The food is very affordably priced, pretty good portions, the delivery drivers and waitstaff have always been nice....and the food is decent. It's not 5 star food...but it does have good flavor and it doesn't deter from eating there again. I give it a solid 4 stars. Try their Pizzas and Chicken Francese.

We've been here twice and have enjoyed our dinner both times. The servers are nice and the food comes out fast and piping hot! We've had the sampler plate, tortellini, ravioli and the Stromboli - and every dish was delish! They have a wonderful piano player while you eat who takes requests :) I'm happy we found Niki's and will definitely be going back.

I have literally been coming to this restaurant since I was in middle school. My family and I LOVE this place. The lobster ravioli is delicious as is the pasta speciality which includes pasta, meatballs, sausage, and meat sauce. YUMM. The bread is scrumptious and their house dressing IS THE BEST. The owners are also wonderful people who are very welcoming. Pizza slices are giant so remember that when you think you are hungry enough for two.

I am still struggling to find a decent Italian place and I think I might have found it except it's really far from my place. Came here for dinner last night and was surprised to find out that they have gnocchi here. It was not bad at all (I think I can make it better though). Didn't even realized that they had live music there until we left so that was another pleasant surprise. Salad dressing they was something unique and different so try it. It's like balsamic vinaigrette with marinara sauce (I know it sounds disgusting but it was good). Their garlic knots were so warm and yummy. And pizza looked good, too. And what was the total? $24.79. Dirt cheap! Their service was great as well. Definitely a place I want to come back and trust me, you never hear me say that about any italian joints here ever since I moved from NYC.

Food is mediocre at best.... my baked ziti was basically Ragu with a sliver of cheese melted on top. Definitely not worth the over 45 minute wait we had because our server, Chelsea, was having an "off' day. To say the wait staff and management was rude is an understatement. It was absolutely horrible. Chelsea repeatedly forgot to bring us our drinks and couldn't remember who ordered what when the food came. We actually had another server apologize for her behavior! Then, while trying to check out at the front counter (classy) we were charged the wrong amount because the woman couldn't remember what her own items cost. Then, when we pulled a menu from the host stand to help, she argued with us..... We will never return!

Excellent Italian pasta. Casual atmosphere and the prices so low it's not believable. Especially for dinner. Awesome Baked Ziti and Meatballs. And the service was friendly and attentive without being pushy.

Ate there this Thursday evening with a party of 10. Do not let them seat you in the bar area! It took 15 minutes to get our drinks, 30 minutes to have our orders taken, and another hour for our meals to arrive. No wait staff, just the bartender, and he tended to our needs as if he would forget about us while he tended bar. We actually had to send a person up to inquire as to the problem with our meals. Even after taking a total of an hour and a half to get our meal, we never had any management person come and explain why the long delay or make an offer to comp any part of the meal as a way to make up for our poor experience. Some of the food was up to its usual fine standard but some was not, but again, the service was terrible in the bar area.

Dude. The red sauce is freaking delicious. Pizza is awesome... delivery is fast... prices are inexpensive. Garlic knots could use more garlic for my taste, however, when I eat garlic I load up like I think my name is Buffy. I will definetly, without a doubt, eat here again.

Was there with friends recently and sat in the bar. Good food, good service, and my friends were impressed and want to come back soon. Going to be our go to place when they visit for an inexpensive but delicious dinner. We played pool and listened to some great karaoke the night we were there, so it was a lot of fun. Drinks were very reasonable since we were there during happy hour. Great place!

They have finally lost my business for good! I don't know how many times we have gone there that our orders were wrong or the service was terrible. Recently I ordered for a work meeting. They delivered an hour earlier than I requested, the order was wrong and the salads were not very fresh. When I called to let them know I was missing some of my order and that it was delivered too early, the manager/owner was so rude and he continued to argue with me about my missing items. He did deliver my items promptly which I appreciated. I will no longer support a business that does not appreciates their customers.

I gave it three stars because the service was amazing and so was the bread they start you out with, but our main course and appetizers were borderline horrible. My boyfriend had the chicken and shrimp and all you could taste was burned garlic. I had the chicken cacciatore which tasted okay but looked kinda icky. The pasta underneath was also over cooked. Maybe we picked the wrong dishes, but I would give it another chance because that service was outstanding,

Amazing and cheap! I ordered the baked ziti and it was delicious! I also tried their Niki's special pizza and that was great too! I need to come back soon to try their chicken aristocrat! Oh, and great service as well!!

I would rather give them 4.5 stars if that were possible. Their pizza is my favorite (5 stars). Their other food I would give 4 stars. They have great service - almost a bend over backwards attitude. I don't get the bad reviews on bad service - they are either made up or people that read into every facial expression a server makes as negative.

We ordered delivery from here one night ... I ordered the something that was amazing when I had eaten their previously. Our food was cold and we live close enough for the place to be with in somewhat reasonable walking distance, less than 3 minutes driving. The driver was nice and the lady on the phone was sweet but failed to let me know we got garlic bread with our meal so I ordered us some so we ended up with so much bread it was ridiculous. As well I didn't know the meatballs on the kids meal was extra, I wouldn't have gotten them if I had known because they were a if I'm paying for them anyway I'll take them but otherwise not. And my daughter wouldn't have eaten them anyway cause I said she doesn't eat anything with sauce and they left her noodles dry but not the meatballs. Huh, common sense says she won't eat the meatballs with sauce if she wont eat noodles with it but it takes all kinds. The Chicken Marsiella ... I made some at home with a McCormick or whatever brand packets previously ... that home made out of a packet was 5 stars compared to what my husband ate. I had high hopes that my mediocre experience last time was just because of service ... this time it was all the food.

Disclaimer: Niki's would have gotten a full 5 if it weren't for the overly-smokey environment! I ordered one of the specials: Bow tie pasta with shaved chicken and sun-dried tomatoes in a creamy garlic infused pink sauce (sorry- can't quite remember the proper name), and a house salad. Over all main dish- in one word: Deeeeelectable! It arrived steaming hot. The sauce was addicting! I sopped up all of it with the lovely knotted rolls they serve. The chicken was flavorful & tender, just the way the Big Man intended! The sun-dried tomatoes added great flavor. House Salad- in one word: Eh. Typical of mom-and-pop restaurants. Mostly soaking wet iceberg. Little added veggies. Possibly 1 tomato in the whole thing! House dressing was sub-par for a made-in-house Italian dressing. My husband had the lobster ravioli- which I can't quite review since HE SCARFED IT DOWN HIS THROAT IN LIKE 9 SECONDS! It looked like it must have tasted- fresh, delicious, and filling. The 10 or so ravioli were about the size of my palm- served with a min side of angel hair pasta in the center of the large plate. His sauce looked similar to my own. Service was great. Didn't have to wait or ask for a thing! And we were a party 0f 11! BOTTOM LINE: Highly recommend! I will be back to try more entrees! Just beware of the ever present lung cancer in the air. That is all.

We used to enjoy this little restaurant but it seems to have lost its soul in the recent move to new digs across the street. The ambience is gone. Room temperatures too cold. Tables are too tall. And did they lose their waitstaff? Our waitress at last two visits was clueless. And the food was awful. Fish overcooked and drowned in a blah sauce. Potatoes tasted like paper mâché. The sautéed vegetables were good, as was the bread. That's the best I can say about it. Oh, we waited 45 minutes for our simple three entree order. We won't be returning.

I am a spoiled picky eater! I do not like pasta and will not eat iceberg lettuce! Nikis will substitute or separate my food before I see it! Pasta on the side. (my husband will eat it) No red sauce, If i accidently order a red sauce dish they fix it no questions. I am treated as if I were some well known food critic. I don't know of any other restaurant that will treat the customer so well and still serves wonderful food! Their menu is such that even with my dislike of red sauces there are many other things to try. One of my faves is eggplant florentine.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
